urbisphere at ICUC12 - 12th International Conference on Urban Climate

The urbisphere project and affiliated researchers will be strongly represented at the upcoming ICUC12 conference, the premier international forum for urban climate science, taking place in Rotterdam and online from 7–11 July 2025.
Researchers affiliated with urbisphere and partner institutions, including FORTH, the University of Freiburg, the University of Reading, and the University of Stuttgart, will contribute to the conference through a series of oral and poster presentations. The contributions span a wide range of topics central to urbisphere, including:
- Earth observation and urban surface characterisation
- Energy balance and urban boundary layer processes
- High-resolution modelling of urban climate and heat stress
- Evaluation of adaptation strategies and climate mitigation measures
- Development and deployment of urban sensor networks
- Tools for near real-time environmental monitoring
These presentations demonstrate the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of urbisphere and highlight its role in supporting science-based approaches to urban climate resilience.
The full schedule of urbisphere-related presentations is available here.
We look forward to engaging with the broader urban climate community at ICUC12.
